The Director of Compliance will be responsible for overseeing, auditing, and maintaining the company’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, URAC and Hitrust certifications, state UR (Utilization Review) Licenses, and various licenses of clinical employees. To that end, the Director of Compliance will act as the keeper of all internal policies and files.
The right candidate will be a proactive self-starter, willing to take on full ownership and responsibility for the following areas:
· Maintain all HITRUST data security documents, advise other employees on HITRUST requirements; respond to related Audits.
· Performed basic legal and regulatory research, independently, and audit the company’s files and processes to determine compliance.
· Own Provider Credentialing files & approvals, both for the company’s own credentialing with health plans, and for its credentialing of downstream providers.
· Annually review and update company’s internal policies; draft policies and procedures as needed; oversee their operationalization.
· Own, Maintain, audit, and track all delegated and non-delegated vendor files.
· File, track, and maintain all licensures & certifications, including URAC, state UR, Nursing certs.
· Assist with HR: Maintain and audit the Employee personnel files in strict confidentiality; onboard new employees; Field benefit questions; act as an administrator of the company’s HR platform.
-Oversee and track new employee training and annual Compliance training.
· Serve as Secretary of the Compliance Committee; schedule/document quarterly meetings & documentation;
· Create a system for internal audits; track and report on various Compliance tasks and the annual work plan.
· Proactively search for additional ways to improve the company’s processes.
The right candidate will be able to:
· Juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and triage them appropriately.
· Be a “doer” in addition to a “supervisor,” not be reliant on support staff.
· Keep detailed records, maintain files, and track deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
· Be able to communicate effectively and authoritatively with both executive leadership and frontline staff.
· Be able to work independently; maintain a high level of productivity while working remotely.
· Have excellent organization, project management, and oral/written communications skills.
-Take full ownership of responsibilities; have the buck stop on your desk.
Experience in healthcare and/or IT data security are a strong plus.
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
Most Alacura team members work primarily remotely. Team members may be asked to travel to Dallas, TX to attend onsite training and conferencing as needed. Team members must wear a mask while onsite at the corporate offices.
