This position specifically supports the Stamps.com Brand and will support our Stamps.com e-commerce store.
Stamps.com is the leading provider of postage online and shipping software solutions to customers including individuals, small businesses, e-commerce shippers, enterprises with multiple locations and high volume mailers and shippers. Stamps.com offers software solutions that help businesses run their shipping and mailing operations. Stamps.com is part of Auctane, along with other leading solutions such as ShipStation, ShipEngine, Metapack and ShippingEasy.
About The Team:
The Store team is responsible for the supplies e-commerce store inside the Stamps.com platform (store.stamps.com). The store is a crucial part of the Stamps.com product and is used by hundreds of thousands of Stamps.com users each year, being responsible for a key part of the revenue for the broader Stamps.com business.
About The Role:
The Director, E-commerce will lead the strategy and operations for the Store business unit. You will lead the Store team and will also oversee cross-departmental initiatives with other teams at Stamps.com and Auctane. You will be responsible for the business unit P&L and will report to the Stamps.com SVP/General Manager.
Primary Objectives:
- Increase revenue for the Store
- Hit quarterly and annual revenue and EBITDA targets for the store
- Hit non-financial KPI targets; e.g., grow SKUs, grow supplier base, broaden digital marketing channels
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in an e-commerce company
- Minimum 3 years of people management experience
- Experience in multiple e-commerce disciplines: Shopify, SEM, SEO, Amazon, Affiliates, dropshipping, social media, etc.
- Experience in a matrixed corporate environment
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Having previously CEO'd or GM'd an e-commerce business with revenue above $1M
- Leadership experience in small, multidisciplinary e-commerce teams
- Financial fluency; understands financial statements and can discuss financial concepts
- MBA or relevant graduate degree
