Overview:
The Director, Finance is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Finance Department ensuring the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets. Oversee Customer Support/Credit ensuring the accurate and timely recording of customer payments, credit memos, and adjustments. Director works closely with the market (business manager) to maximize spend and drive overall margin growth. This position is a key driver in understanding, and leading standardization of price structures, price calendar, M&E, and spend budgets. This role will work to deliver margin growth for all parties. The Market Revenue Management Director will use data insights to collaborate with business managers on standardizing process, deal level optimization, and share best learnings from markets.
This is a great opportunity for someone currently in a lead Finance position that is ready to move into a Director role. This role will oversee a Revenue Management Manager as well as four support roles.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the Accounting/Finance department.
- Responsible for every aspect of monthly close process including JE preparation and/or review, creation of financial statements, trend analysis, and review of all account reconciliations.
- Manages the entire annual budget process including coordination with senior management of every functional area to ensure timely and accurate completion of the process.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and create a variety of ad-hoc analysis.
- Establish and maintain systems and internal controls which verify the integrity of Company data and reporting and protect Company assets.
- Assist in the preparation of various income tax schedules to assure the accurate and timely completion of all income tax returns.
- Collaborates with the Chief Financial Officer on a variety of cost saving/profit enhancing initiatives and other one-off projects.
- Works with department heads to establish processes and internal controls related to payment applications.
- Manages the Customer Support/Credit department.
- Coordinates with the Business Services Department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing.
- Investigates unusual customer/sales representative activity.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, bank, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Lead Revenue Management
- Develop strategic revenue plans surrounding the standardization of P&L Alignment, price structures, and price calendar and update Executive team accordingly.
- Lead the analysis of sales data and market share to forecast and make recommendations on margin opportunities. Develop a revenue team that focuses on strategies and gross profit targets.
- Understand and interpret the potential impact of market trends, forecasts and opportunities to improve margin.
- Evaluate share driving activities. Identify key match ups by markets and look for opportunities to maximize price
- Determine and communicate margin opportunities, including risks and opportunities, to the business manager and supplier teams.
- Report on key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators (Margin Growth) to key shareholders. Monitor and communicate reports and insights on margin to business units and supply teams.
- Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting managerial experience
- Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
- Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Analytic and Reporting skills
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of general ledger, cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax, and banking
- Experience with an ERP system (SAP experience)
Physical Requirements:
