General Summary: The Director of Information Systems (DIS) leads implementation and maintenance of electronic health record (EHR) system and attached system applications. Additionally, the DIS participates in all enterprise systems analysis ensuring systems support growth and development of programs consistent with enterprise-wide philosophy of system integration within one cohesive infrastructure. The DIS is responsible for the oversight and management of appropriate staff, various systems and the business information contained within or produced by these systems across the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: MIS Department Staff:
  • Oversight of day-to-day operations of EHR System and EHR Support system.
  • Oversight of Project BI dashboard.
  • Ensures efficient and effective department operations by implementing project management schedules with deliverables.
  • Designing technical projects in alignment with organizational goals and incorporating AI and other technology as needed to create maximum efficiency.
  • Ensures efficient and effective department operations by developing, monitoring and adjusting workflows to maximize department performance.
  • Supports Data Analytics Manager and EHR Manager, providing project management support, performance monitoring and personal management.
  • In conjunction with department staff, continuously monitors and enhances help desk support system.
  • Works with team ensuring presentation and maintenance of Project BI dashboard is effective and user friendly.
  • Serves as the chair/facilitator of the EHR Committee.
  • Communicates new policies, priorities, etc. to department staff ensuring staff are updated and in sync with organizational goals.
  • Designates department staff to participate on internal committees that cross into the EHR function.
  • Supports EHR Manager and serves as EHR liaison to internal management, contractors and vendors supporting the functionality of the EHR.
Enterprise Systems Oversight:
  • Participates in all analysis of expansions and/or new information system request evaluating for cross functional system integration.
  • Assist with project management on all expansion and new information system implementation. Ensuring the production and implementation of developed information systems and interfaces and overall project concepts and deliverables align with business standards and objectives.
  • Works side by side with providers, care teams, operations team, members and executive staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Experience – 2 years’ experience in healthcare and 2 years’ project management experience.
  • Licensure- None required.
  • Certification- None required.
REGULATORY:
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Must possess Level 1 fingerprint clearance.
  • Initial current negative TB test result (Employer provides).
