About the role
As a Director of Administration, you will function as a business partner to the Office Managing Partner and the Deputy Office Managing Partner, contributing to the strategic planning and implementation of goals and objectives for the San Diego office. Other key responsibilities include:
- Providing direction, guidance, and advice to all administrators, managers, supervisors, attorneys, and staff regarding the general business operations of the Firm and the office
- Developing and supervising the office staff by performing a multitude of responsibilities related to the following functional areas: accounting/finance, human resources, marketing/business development, research/library, technology, facilities/operations, secretaries, litigation services, and the administrative components of the Firm’s Committees
- Serving as a business partner to global departments
About you
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Possess strong management skills in finance, human resources, operations/facilities, technology/information services, attorney relations, change initiatives, and strategic planning
- Exhibit the ability to work in and foster a team environment with a customer service focus while developing extensive knowledge of firm procedures, policies, and practices
- Have the ability to demonstrate creative thinking while providing strategic support to senior management
- Display strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts or other communications as needed
And have:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business or a related field
- A JD, MBA, or related Master's degree or equivalent (desired)
- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible office management experience in a legal or a professional services environment
Compensation & Benefits
Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also receive a generous and competitive total compensation package. The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location. Discretionary bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance — and profit-sharing partnership contributions to 401(k) accounts may be given based on firm performance.
