Director of Nursing DON Job at Sandstone Healthcare Group
Sandstone Holladay is a premier skilled nursing facility with a long-term dementia care program located in beautiful Holladay, Utah. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our team of exceptional nurses and caregivers.
As the Director of Nursing, you will have the opportunity to oversee the delivery of quality nursing care to our residents while ensuring that our staff is supported and equipped to provide the best possible care. You will be responsible for the overall management of the nursing department, including:
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the nursing department in collaboration with other departments to ensure high-quality care and compliance with regulatory standards
- Managing and supervising nursing staff, including scheduling, training, and evaluating performance
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that meet the physical, social, and emotional needs of our residents
- Providing direct care as needed to residents, as well as serving as a resource to nursing staff
- Ensuring that all nursing documentation is complete, accurate, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participating in the selection and evaluation of medical equipment, supplies, and medications used in the facility
- Managing and maintaining the budget for the nursing department, and ensuring that resources are used effectively and efficiently
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements related to nursing care

Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current Utah license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a skilled nursing and long term dementia care setting, with experience managing a nursing department
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members
