Overview
The Director of Operations will have the overall responsibility of Directing all aspects of installation of telecom services to residential and commercial properties in accordance with Industry specifications and company guidelines. Works closely with customers, vendors and employees to ensure commitments are met timely and efficiently. The Director will be responsible to maintain excellent customer relations with the MSO.
Responsibilities include:
- Full operational and P&L responsibility for the District, including achieving sales and profit targets, customer relations and satisfaction, staff development, and identification and achievement of profitable new business opportunities.
- Align performance metrics to support the achievement of business, departmental, and team goals; monitor metrics and work with team members and Process Improvement Leaders to optimize metrics across departments/divisions.
- Translate the organization's vision, values, and business goals into team goals and keep employees informed.
- Foster communication and teamwork both within and across organizational boundaries.
- Provide employees and employee teams with the empowerment and information they need to solve customer problems, do their best work, and contribute to the business.
- Resolve escalated customer issues quickly and in a manner that satisfied the customer; educate employees associated with the issue to resolve such issues without escalation.
- Resolve employee issues in a manner that meets employee needs; diligently pursue and proactively address employee concerns in an effort to satisfy the employee and ensure compliance with stated policies.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are being followed.
- Responsible for workforce compliance with all safety regulations including all OSHA requirements.
- Travel between systems as necessary with a goal of working locally with our management team and fostering relationships with our current and future customers. Must be prepared to be in local markets 50 percent of their time.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be able to travel 50% of the time.
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum three years management experience in cable television, telecommunications or customer service industry.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Extensive P&L and Budgetary experience required.
- Must be a team player.
