Job Description
The Document Production Graphics Lead provides supervisory oversight for the graphics staff by monitoring workflow, providing performance feedback, assisting in orienting new staff and assisting staff with complex documents. The Lead is in a working lead position and will also provide document processing services, graphic services, and general support, creating a variety of documents and materials using Microsoft Office Suite products and other firm supported software.
Representative Key Responsibilities
- Establishing work priorities and monitoring deadlines
- Monitoring the following of instructions provided on complex documents
- Exercising judgment in determining best methods of handling work requests
- Scheduling overtime and coordinating coverage for absences
- Ensuring a smooth work transition between shifts
- Monitoring staff performance
- Participating in performance evaluation process
- Familiarizing new staff with department procedures, software and equipment
- Use word processing software and other technical applications to input, edit, format and spell-check documents
- Perform scanning, clean-up and formatting of images
- Proofreading
- Respond to inquiries regarding project status
- Respond to questions regarding applications and department procedures
- Provide general assistance with other tasks as needed
In addition, the Graphics Lead will be able to work on graphics project and be able to do all of the following:
The Graphics Lead will provide advanced document processing services and general support, creating a variety of documents and materials using advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and other firm supported software. The person in this role should be certified in a variety of firm software applications and have proficiency with a variety of graphic design and marketing programs. Responsibilities include using design software to create various marketing and other firm-branded materials; designing and implementing on-line promotional projects and on-line media; creating templates in various programs for use by marketing and other departments; creating and assembling client pitch materials; and assisting with more difficult and complex production assignments. The person in this position will also respond to inquiries regarding status of projects, answer routine and complex questions regarding basic applications, train and mentor the technical and document production specialists, and assist the IT department in answering routine and complex help desk questions..
