Dog Walker and Pet Sitter - Fetch! Pet Care of Austin

A brand new Fetch Pet Care business is seeking part-time Dog Walkers/Pet Sitters in the Central, North, and West Austin, TX areas. We’re looking for animal and nature-loving folks interested in part-time work seeking to make up to $800 a month or more. More work is available during our busy months. Full-time work is available as our business grows and expands. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a brand new team in the earliest stages of building a business.

We offer a premium pet care service and establish lifelong relationships with the animals we care for as well as our pet owner clients. You can be an integral part in helping make our business a success!

Daily Responsibilities:

• Spend your day providing quality interactive activity sessions for our canine and feline customers while working with hours that fit within your schedule
• Walk dogs
• Play with pets in-home
• Feed and clean bowls
• Scoop litter boxes and keep pet areas tidy
• Provide overnight pet care
• Provide pet transportation
• Administer pet medication
• Provide basic house care such as bringing in mail and water plants
• Assist with sales and marketing activity such as attending events and finding new clients
• In an emergency, be able to communicate to owners and Fetch office effectively and provide transport pets to a nearby vet hospital as necessary

You may be:

• A current or former professional dog trainer, vet tech, animal rescue volunteer, pet groomer, or dog walker/pet sitter
• A stay at home parent seeking an additional source of income
• Newly retired but want to stay active and involved in the pet care industry
• A Veteran seeking to re-enter the job force in the pet care industry
• Working from home and seeking an opportunity to meet pet owners and their pets within the community

Ideal Candidates:

• Have a passion for working with animals
• Are committed to caring for animals as a profession
• Are an active nature lover who enjoys being outdoors year-round
• Are seeking part-time work that provides a supplemental income in the range of $700-$800+ a month (full time work is an option as business grows)
• Live in or can drive from your home to one or more of the following locations within 5 minutes: 78702, 78703, 78705, 78712, 78721, 78722, 78723, 78726, 78730, 78731, 78732, 78750, 78751, 78752, 78756, 78757, 78759, 78717, 78613, 78681
• Are located nearby or willing to commute to pet owners in Downtown Austin, Central Austin, Avery Ranch, Steiner Ranch, Cedar Park, etc.
• Have pet handling skills and experience with dogs and/or cats. Other pet types are a plus!
• Are able to commit to working most major US holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year's week
• Are committed to continuing education and gaining experience in pet care
• Are comfortable in a business start-up environment
• Are comfortable with supporting start-up sales and marketing efforts

Some other basic job requirements:

• US Citizen or legally authorized to work in the US at least the next 12 months
• Must be able to work majority of major holidays to be considered
• Have reliable transportation (SUVs are a plus)
• Able to pass background check
• Local full-time resident of Austin. Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown and/or Avery Ranch and Brushy Creek area residents desired.
• Own/operate a smartphone to access our online scheduling software
• Able to handle all types of dogs and have basic pet care experience
• Pet care certifications a plus!
