DSHS OOS Human Resource Consultant 1

We are hiring a well-organized, resilient human resource professional to join us in one of our Olympia, Union Gap, and Spokane offices! As the first point of contact, you'll respond to employee and supervisor inquiries, providing professional advice and consultation regarding human resource services in appointments, classification, compensation, benefits, and hiring.

Some of what you'll do:


  • Assess customer needs, identify and evaluate options, and recommend action courses.
  • Compose clear, concise, and accurate memos, letters, reports, and documents
  • Research and resolve concerns on various personnel matters
  • Consult on hiring processes

What we're looking for:
  • General knowledge of HR laws and practices.
  • Experience creating well-written and professional correspondence and documentation.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Who should apply?
Professionals with a bachelor's degree in business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or related fields; or Equivalent education/experience.
