Position Summary:

Our Dump Truck Driver - Lead Support person is primarily responsible for providing support to our truck drivers while demonstrating leadership in the daily job duties of the dump truck team. The person in this position will also be an active truck driver during the day and will help mentor the dump truck team members, and will address and support the growing needs of our company-owned trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

Reasonable accommodations made be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Mentor a team of roughly 9 people and be responsible for the resolution of personnel issues within that group of truckers
  
• Able to park truck in Mendota Heights, Shakopee, and Columbus, MN
• Lead by example – while driving truck and dealing with people
• Motivate to maximize utilization of trucking team members
• Must possess willingness to adjust priorities as needs change
• Build and maintain good relationships with employees – mentees and other departments in the company
• Willingness to work hours as required
• Other duties as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in asphalt paving industry
• All candidates are required to pass a thorough Background Check, Physical and Drug Test
• Commercial Driver s License required

Preferred Experience/Education:

• Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
• Excellent communication and people skills

Job type: Full-Time / Seasonal - Union Position

Work Location: Main office located in Mendota Heights, MN. Will also dump/park truck in Shakopee and Columbus, MN.
