We are looking for a technical business analyst to join our team and work on HealthCare EDI Integrated Authorization Solutions. The ideal candidate will have technical skills that allow for diving into healthcare databases to research and analyze various aspects of the EDI solutions we deliver and support. Additionally, and equally important the ideal candidate will possess a solid business acumen that can comprehend both business and technical solution requirements and translate them into various project artifacts. Must be able to articulate business processes and technical solutions clearly and competently with cross-functional team resources. This is a telecommute role that is highly engaged using a multitude of communication channels and frequent interactions.

Primary Responsibilities:
- EDI Tech Solutions Team Resource for EDI Mapping, Transaction Validation and Testing as required
- Perform HealthCare data analysis, research and measurement for various aspects of the EDI Tech Solutions integration projects and interaction with authorizations, claims, member eligibility, provider and utilization management data
- Prepare and update technical and functional requirements documents, process documentation, workflow and data flow diagrams, project plans, test plans and other artifacts as requested
- Preparation of presentations, reports or other metrics as needed by management to support the EDI Tech Solutions Team
- Actively interfacing with internal and external project resources, managed care customers, IT resources and others when requested and document meeting discussions action items and take aways
- Participate in Scheduled and ad-hoc auditing of various systems and databases to support prior authorization transaction research and the business needs as requested
- Assignment of special projects as needed

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with process and workflow documentation.
- 3+ years of experience using a full suite of Microsoft Office Products: Microsoft Word (creating and editing documents), Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar), Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas (vlookup, xlookup, match, etc..), and Microsoft Power Point creating presentations, Microsoft Visio (creating workflow/process/data flow diagrams)
- 2+ years of experience working within a Healthcare IT Functional Area
- 2+ years of experience working with Clinical Utilization Management Systems
- 2+ years of healthcare EDI testing and validation experience
- 2+ years of functional database (any SQL tools) experience querying and analyzing HealthCare Data
- 2+ years of experience within the healthcare data environment working with authorization, eligibility and/or claims data or application interfaces
- 1+ years of healthcare EDI Transaction knowledge and experience
- Proven ability to competently articulate and document clear technical and functional specs and present information visually within a cross-functional team environment of other telecommuters
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in CS or technology discipline
- 2+ years of experience with SQL (building analytical queries)- MS SQL, PostGres, Dbeaver
- 2+ years of specific EDI X12 ANSI 278 Transaction expertise
- 1+ years of EDI transaction mapping experience
- 1+ years of EDI Production Support and Maintenance experience
- Experience working with cloud-based solutions and services
- Experience with Agile Project Methodology for Technical Systems Development Life Cycle Project Work
- Knowledgeable about healthcare prior authorization and claims processing
- Knowledge of CPT coding or reimbursement processes
- Project management concepts and artifacts
Soft Skills:
- Solid organization skills and impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with various levels of resources in a highly matrixed cross functional organization
- Ability to utilize multiple channels of communication simultaneously throughout the work-day and actively be engaged in meetings, working sessions and assigned project work
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
