Editor, Math (K-1)
WHAT WE SEEK
The Editor, Math (K-1), works in collaboration with the Director of Editorial and the Manager of Editorial, K-5, by helping to ensure that Carnegie Learning’s Elementary Math products meet high standards of editorial and content quality, with a focus on content in Grades K and 1.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
- Works closely with the Director of Editorial and the Manager of Editorial, K-5, in the coordination and execution of projects to develop and produce print and digital Math products
- Works with the K-5 Math Instructional Design team to ensure that content follows through on its purposeful design
- Assists in the rewriting, reviewing, copyediting, editing, and managing of instructional and assessment materials
- Communicates with third-party vendors as needed for editorial needs
- Communicates with cross-functional teams as needed to ensure project timelines are met
- Assists with reprints and editorial corrections
- Assists in providing accurate and thorough product information for RFPs and State bids
- Creates correlation documents of math products to support the sales team
- Performs other duties as assigned or as apparent
WHAT SHOULD BE IN YOUR BOOKBAG
- BA, BS in Math or other related fields
- Teaching experience in the K–12 market, a plus
- Knowledge of the K–12 educational publishing market, a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external audiences
- Strong attention to detail and process
- Relentless pursuit of operational integrity
