In this role, you will be able to lead and contribute in meaningful ways at our new McCalla, AL facility. This person will be core to our success and work hands-on each day to help develop training materials to lead and support the production of our high-quality product. New plant – challenges, opportunities, etc.
The primary function of this role is to execute Education & Training (E&T) standards including: owning training material, skills qualification process, maintain SharePoint documentation system, owns E&T results by maintaining site skills matrix and reporting out monthly results, developing our site E&T functional leaders.
Role Responsibilities:
  • This role will play a critical role in the day-to-day learning and development activities
  • This role is responsible for assessing and identifying development opportunities and executing training needs across the organization
  • Actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate employees, and enhance performance
  • Build and maintain annual strategy to develop, execute and maintain annual compliance training to meet organizational needs
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance, safety, logistics leaders to understand their needs related to training and development by proactively interfacing with key stakeholders in order to understand, recommend and deploy effective solutions
  • Trains and coaches’ managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts, including coaching and developing E&T Functional Leaders
  • Own and maintains E&T scorecard, monthly Results, and E&T skills matrix
  • Point of contact with corporate for all company E&T initiatives
  • Identify E&T standardization, consistency, and implement best practices
  • Act as leadership team’s liaison to the teams E&T outages & wins
  • Facilitate E&T skill building and meeting on regular cadence
  • Facilitate all step-up card revisions, getting approval from key stakeholders
  • Own, record, and manage Step-up card and qualification process
  • Own and facilitate all computer qualification testing and training
  • Owns master copies of all operator manuals, working closely with EO’s to keep material up to date
  • Maintains the SharePoint Document control system for site
  • Maintain personnel training records and reports
  • Manage training files in Workday Learning Module
  • Support the Development/Execution of training materials for the site
  • Support and model SQMS work system behaviors

What we’re looking for:
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs
  • Ability to work under limited supervision while managing multiple priorities and projects
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, electronic learning platforms, workshops…)
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Experience facilitating meetings and strong presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Experience leading, teaching and coaching others
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment where managing internal and external expectations is critical
