EHS Manager - Multi-Site Job at Parker Hannifin Corporation
Position Summary
Parker Hose Products Division is looking for a great addition to our EHS Leadership Team in Manitowoc, WI. This role has multi-site responsibility, leading the EHS function for our Metals and Hose Assembly operations across Hose Products Division. This person will work closely with the Manitowoc operation and remotely manage the remaining value stream at four other manufacturing locations. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage by influence and have a strong track record of improving operations to achieve a 0 harm culture. We are seeking an enthusiastic, self starting, problem solver who works well in a fast paced, team based environment and can contribute to the overall success of the division.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for execution of EHS programs and procedures cascaded from Corporate, Group or Division to meet enterprise and business unit EHS objectives and targets with an emphasis on Safety and Accident Prevention, EHS Regulatory Compliance and Resource Conservation.
Responsible for execution of applicable EHS management systems which includes the Corporate EHS Directives, ISO 14001 certification and any other applicable EHS management system certifications or elements.
Responsible for EHS reporting which includes performance against targets and goals, regulatory reporting, and corporate, business unit and customer required reporting.
Manages an EHS training program for applicable EHS training required across the business unit from employee to leader.
Coordinates an EHS corrective action program which would include EHS audits, regulatory inspections, industrial accidents, customer EHS audits and other assessments that identify EHS issues that require corrective action with the exception of environmental remediation of property.
Coordinates a resource conservation program which will include but not be limited to energy use, water use and waste generated from production.
Manages an EHS program for change which includes new processes, equipment, materials and people.\
Provides support as directed for acquisitions, divestitures, facility closure and environmental remediation of property.
Support awareness and integration of EHS into other functional areas such as Lean, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, Sales, Service and Innovation. Leverage existing systems and procedures in those functional areas to the extent possible in EHS management.
Supports an EHS culture of excellence for safety and environmental management through effective communication.
Manages the EHS aspects of contractors that do work on site.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- College or College Equivalent Degree in a technical field such as EHS, engineering, or science.
- 3+ years of applicable EHS experience.
- Experience in an industrial work environment with EHS responsibilities.
- A good working knowledge of EHS regulations.
- Experience in industrial safety management.
- Experience with resource conservation.
- EHS certifications a plus.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to influence people at all levels.
- Must be able to comprehend and interpret applicable EHS requirements and translate them into the business language for clear understanding by the business unit leaders and employees.
- Must be able to learn and understand the business.
- Must have strong process skills for standardization, continuous improvement and program management.
- Must have a passion for EHS and able to translate into practical action.
- Must have good problem solving skills and experience.
- Must be able to work independently.
- The job is subject to a complexity evaluation. Complexity can occur when the job includes other functional responsibilities such as facilities, product stewardship, wellness, security, social responsibility or business risk. Complexity will be factored into the grade and salary associated with the position on a case by case basis.
