Moog Inc., is looking for an EHS Project Operations Lead.

As the EHS Project Operations Lead you will report directly to the East Aurora EHS Campus Manager and oversee 3 direct reports.

You will be responsible for project planning, implementation, and management of mission critical EA Campus Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives, which will drive improvements in EHS across the Campus related operations (inclusive of West Falls).
You will be accountable for successful project management and analysis of EHS data that has a direct impact on workplace safety and environmental stewardship. You will be required to build support and commitment across the operating groups and help drive a continued focus on improving EHS across the multi-building, multi-operation campus.

Responsibilities:
  • Participates in creating the vision and strategy for Campus EHS as part of the Campus EHS leadership team.
  • Implements and monitors EHS metrics as necessary for improving the quality, service, cost, and execution of EHS across Moog.
  • Develops, clarifies and manages the scope of a project from project approval to project closure; defines project deliverables and achieves targeted outcomes. Plans project budgets and seeks approval.
  • Identifies needed resources, coordinates availability of shared resources, and develops time frames to facilitate successful completion of project activities and deliverables.
  • Leads large or small functional groups of varying disciplines. Will require the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority over the team. Skill in time management, conflict resolution, and priority setting will be required.
  • Manages overall project dependencies and ensures project deliverables stay on time and within budget. Oversight required, including cost/benefit analysis, of actions and initiatives.
  • Defines and manages overall change control process and quality assurance aspects of the project.
  • Identifies on a timely basis all project barriers as well as strategies and approaches to overcome those barriers.
  • Prepares related project status reports/meetings for key stakeholders and governance bodies, as appropriate, to provide project updates on activities and deliverables, as well as risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Clearly conveys information and ideas, in a professional manner, in both verbal and written form. Formal presentations will be required.
  • Will need to manage multiple projects simultaneously that span development and implementation phases on average of 3-12 month each. Routine management and continued improvement opportunities of implemented projects is expected.
  • Manage direct reports within the department whose accountabilities include the development and sustainment of EHS Training, Program Audits, and Departmental Data/Metrics.

Qualifications:
  • Typically, a Bachelor of Science Degree in business or technical field is required; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree
  • Master’s Degree in business or technical field is preferred
  • 5 years of progressive experience (usually post-education) in the field of project leadership is preferred
  • Proven general capability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple projects over time
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
