Your Role:
At MilliporeSigma, the EHS Technician III will provide operational and EHS support to our Jaffrey, NH facility through dispensing and delivery of chemicals to manufacturing work centers and the safe handling of hazardous waste. The EHS Technician will provide program support for non-hazardous waste, recycling, life safety systems and sustainability initiatives.

Your Role:
At MilliporeSigma, the EHS Technician III will provide operational and EHS support to our Jaffrey, NH facility through dispensing and delivery of chemicals to manufacturing work centers and the safe handling of hazardous waste. The EHS Technician will provide program support for non-hazardous waste, recycling, life safety systems and sustainability initiatives.
- Support the organization's Chemical Program, Hazardous Waste Program, Non-hazardous Waste Program, Recycling Program, and Inspection of Life Safety Systems.
- Execute procedures in accordance with SOPs to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Understand and work within a variety of guidelines, standard operating procedures and/ or technical methods.
- Work in a safe manner to protect themselves, fellow employees, and the surrounding community.
Physical attributes:
- Lift up to 75 pounds.
- Push or pull up to 500 pounds using mechanical assist equipment (i.e. drum carts, hand jack, etc.)
- Pass DOT exam, physical exam and vision exam.
- Hold or has the ability to pass and maintain a Hazardous Waste Coordinator Course/Certification.
- Walk, stand, bend, and twist, and or lift/reach overhead throughout shift.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental, or other life science field.
- A background in chemical handling, waste management, safety or environmental.
- Basic computer skills (email, word, excel, PowerPoint)
- Able to manage time to perform required tasks within a specified timeframe.
- Work within a small team and understand the team organization, individual roles, and responsibilities and how working as a team allows everyone to achieve objectives.
