Electrical Design Engineer Job at AMATROL
Are you an Electrical Engineer looking for work/life balance in your next career move? Amatrol's Electrical Design Engineers typically work 8 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday designing and developing technical learning systems.
What will you be doing?
- Developing electrical equipment, components, software and systems for new products.
- Designing software and hardware improvements for upkeep of existing equipment, components and system products.
- Collaborating with curriculum, marketing and manufacturing departments to plan and design new products from conception to completion.
- Ensuring manufacturability, marketability and proper costing of products.
- Modifying equipment designs and software to eliminate malfunctions, improve cost, improve efficiency, or replace obsolete components.
- Completing clear and concise documentation of software designs for prototype fabrication and production documentation.
What do you need to be considered for the job?
- BS Electrical Engineering degree.
- PLC programming experience. Rockwell or Siemens preferred.
- Experience working with motion control systems and AC/DC drive systems.
- Experience designing with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Strong computer and programming skills. Languages and software include: Visual Studio (Visual C++, Visual Basic), SQL Database, Excel and Word.
- Organized individual who is self-motivated and can work independently.
- Strong problems solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Jeffersonville, IN.
