As an Electrical Engineer, your role will involve utilizing your expertise in electrical engineering to provide design and support services to the company in the fields of power systems, control systems, and instrumentation. You will be responsible for developing and implementing electrical solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the company's electrical systems and equipment meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
As an Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities include designing and implementing electrical system upgrades, providing technical training to plant electricians, overseeing major equipment repairs and upgrades, reviewing and approving engineering drawings and permits, developing and maintaining Best Practice Specifications, performing power system studies, managing contractors, updating electrical drawings, assisting during major outages, supporting capital improvement projects, providing backup for automation systems, performing field inspections, and offering technical advice to resolve electrical problems.
The position requires a:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of five years of experience in cement or related manufacturing, including two or more years in maintenance or plant engineering.
- The candidate should have knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and must be willing to travel to company facilities and other locations as needed.
- It is essential to be a self-starter and able to work independently while cooperating with plant and corporate personnel.
- The job requires the ability to work at heights, in restricted spaces, and climb ladders and stairs in an industrial environment to access and inspect equipment.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of SAP and AutoCAD.
