Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Electrical Engineer is to be a leader in safety, while supporting operations and showing engineering excellence. They will provide technical expertise, provide project leadership and planning, coordinate preventative maintenance measures, and will be vital to the advancement of Nucor’s initiatives at our Marseilles site. The successful candidate will be able to manage deadlines based on priorities, work well within a diverse team environment, communicate clearly and respectfully, be results driven and other duties as assigned.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and unscheduled overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with NFPF 70E-Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
- Experience interpreting technical drawings and design specifications
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s, HMI’s, and Drives
- Experience leading projects in excess of $1M
