Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Electrical Project Manager who will be based in our Corporate office located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This position will report directly to our Chief executives.
Qualifications:
- Degree in related field
- Experience in managing the daily operations related to the completion of any assigned solar projects, and responsible for tracking and reporting on the overall progress.
- Required to work on the project from when permits have been issued, to handoff for requesting permission to operate (PTO).
- Project management in the construction industry
- Previous Management or Supervisory experience
- Experience and/or knowledge off electrical field’s concepts, practices and procedures
- Ability to understand and interpret Electrical NEC Codes
- Experience working with homeowners’ associations (HOAs) to make sure installations stay within their covenants, conditions, and restrictions (CC&Rs).
- Experience with submitting for and completing main panel upgrades (MPUs) with the utility companies
- Previous Solar experience
- Previous experience managing Journeyman and Apprentice calendars
- Experience coordinating with internal departments of the company to make sure that the solar project is per the plans and permits that have been approved by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) in order to pass all inspections.

- An understanding of Residential Electrical components
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to understand specific Residential Electrical functions such as MPU’s, MSP’s and breakers etc.
- Sense of urgency
Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with Utility companies
- Build rapport with all internal solar departments, field operations, internal Electricians, and city/county utility companies
- Train and assist the electrical department to schedule and manage Electricians calendars
- Train and assist the electrical department to identify low to high priority task
- Train the electrical department on all responsibilities for all work related to the completion of any main panel upgrades (MPU) required for the solar project.
- Train the electrical department to confirm dates and times with solar customers
- Advise the electrical department to manage and understand a variety of different Electrical projects with regard to specific city and county codes, regulations, and laws.
- Train the electrical department to coordinate with internal departments of the company to make sure that the MPU is per the plans that have been approved by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).
- Train the electrical department to coordinate with several subcontractors to make sure that MPUs are scheduled and completed in a timely manner.
- Train the electrical department to coordinate with utilities to facilitate confirmation of meter spot locations, via phone, e-mail, and portal.
- Train the electrical department to perform pre and post Electrical project inspections with city/county
- Train the electrical department to complete applications and submittals to utility companies
- Train the electrical department to consistently follow up with utility companies on a status of applications to prevent delays
- Assist Electricians with needed documentation to complete projects
- Communicate with Electricians to forecast needed materials to complete jobs/task and Construction duties per project
- Train and assist electrical department with communication between the subcontractors and the customers,
- Perform as the liaison in gaining confirmation for scheduling and relaying pertinent information to who might request it.
