About the Position:
We have an exciting opportunity available for an Electro-Mechanical technician to support our growing manufacturing business. We are looking for a skilled technician to build subassemblies and accessories for atomic force microscopes which are used in research and industry to analyze materials at the nanoscale. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced technician with outstanding mechanical and electrical assembly skills.
The Role
Assemble and solder precision parts to PCB boards under a stereomicroscope.
Build complex mechanical subassemblies for our instruments and accessories.
Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates and microscopes.
Read mechanical drawings, schematics, diagrams to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
The Candidate
At least 5 years of experience in electromechanical assembly
Proficiency in soldering of PCB boards
Excellent manual dexterity with small parts
Strong attention to detail
The ability to work in a team environment
AFM/SPM assembly experience is a plus but not required
Salary: In accordance with California law, the expected annual salary range for this position is between $60,000 - $75,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
