Teachers On Demand, INC is an educational staffing and recruiting firm that partners with K-12 schools around the United States. We are committed to assisting schools in the recruitment of high-quality educators on a permanent or substitute basis, and we are partnering with an Indianapolis High Performing Charter School. Our client is in need of two elementary teachers.

Positions:

A. K-5th Grade Special Education Teacher

B. 4th Grade Math Teacher

C. 4th Grade Interventionist (General Education)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field of expertise plus appropriate licensure (required); Master’s Degree (preferred)
• Deep knowledge and passion for content areas: English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Humanities, Physical education, Music, Art or Theater
• The ability to develop caring relationships with scholars and families.
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent communication, superior listening skills, organizational skills, and decision-making ability
• Impeccable and positive classroom behavior management
• Ability to adapt material and curriculum to fit classroom/scholar needs
• Cooperation and exudes professionalism in the workplace
• Punctuality, ability to adhere to deadlines
• A deep passion for social justice and equity for all children; a strong belief that all scholars can and will achieve at the highest levels regardless of demography
• Agreement with vision, mission, and goals of the School
• Being present and engaged during entire school day
• Appropriate supervision to ensure scholar safety
• Experience working with a diverse body of scholars and staff

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for ⅔ of the work day
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to work in an environment with an above average level of noise
• Some nights and weekends, as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,421.00 - $60,000.00 per year
