We’re hiring an Embedded Software Engineer for our Houston TX client! We are looking for experienced, reliable, hard-working employees who can interview immediately!
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:
- Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer
- Location: Northwest Houston, TX
- Pay: $80K to $95K
- Duration: Temp-to-hire
- Description of Duties: Design, build and maintain embedded software/firmware applications and services for low power battery driven systems, in the areas of machine, cloud and application. Responsible for full software lifecycle such as requirement analysis, documentation/procedures and implementation. Provide support for escalated application issues, including diagnosis and resolution of technical problems. Responsible for testing products, developing test plans, test cases and automating test cases using the latest technologies. Design, develop and implement security solutions and cyber intelligence tools to protect digital products, services and applications.
- Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. 3+ years' experience in embedded software/firmware engineering role. Programming experience in C/C++; familiarity with SQL, Java and NodeJS desirable. Familiarity with software tools: compilers, IDE, debuggers, configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, version control (GIT), and peer reviews. Experience with micro-controllers. STM32 and TI MSP430 preferred. Knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, RS485, Ethernet, UDP, CoAP, MODBUS, Bluetooth LE, NFC, IrDA). Ability to troubleshoot embedded systems, have some knowledge of Agile design process. Experience designing for natural gas application a plus. Ability to read schematic drawings and understand digital interfaces, and basic electrical design beneficial.
