We have a position open in our Rockland Massachusetts embroidery facility for an Embroidery Machine Operator II. Responsibilities include main line production activities using multi head embroidery machines, including setup, thread changes, placement of images, use of heat press, and merrow edging machines.

QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION)

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• 3+ years’ experience operating multi-head industrial embroidery equipment.
• Experience with power and hand tools a plus
• Basic math and communication skills required

Duties & Responsibilities

• Interprets work orders paying close attention to all details to ensure caps and logos are accurate to size, color, and placement of artwork.
• Operate embroidery machines to complete orders to meet deadlines.
• Prepare machine for garments, which includes loading digitized designs into machine network, manual thread color changes, and bobbin, tension, and needle changes when appropriate.
• Examine completed work to detect product defects and verify conformance and adjust machinery as necessary to correct quality or efficiency issues.
• Oil and general maintenance of machines to keep machines in working order.
• Hoop and prep garments.
• Handling and assisting in deadline-driven production schedules
• Keep the area around the workstation clean to maintain a safe working environment.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Intermediate knowledge of embroidery and machine operation
• Ability to work as part of a team including the ability to collaborate, and execute independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be conversational in English.

Physical Demands

• The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
• Must be mobile and ambulatory and is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, knee, and crouch.
• Good near, far, depth, and peripheral vision
• Must be able to routinely lift 40lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
