Job Summary
Manager the compounding, molding, and testing operations of the Technology Lab at SABIC’s Selkirk site. Leads a team of Technicians and partners with others to serve internal and external testing requests.
How You Can Be the Impact
- Oversee the compounding, molding, and testing operations of the Technology Lab at SABIC’s Selkirk site.
- Conduct all work in a safe and responsible manner per company policies.
- Drive instrumentation and data capture across lab capabilities.
- Facilitate and execute on capital project plans for the lab.
- Provide training and technical development opportunities for technicians to advance their careers.
- Interact with product developers, technicians, and maintenance personnel.
- Maintain and improve workflows and systems to meet the needs of internal customers.
- Work with EHS and HR functions to implement and enforce safety and work rules.
- Support Lab Operations:
- Coordinate basic troubleshooting and maintenance needs with lab leads and maintenance teams
- Facilitate a long-term capital plan to ensure continuity of operations and to implement technical improvements for the labs.
- Coordinate the activities of technicians as part of the Core Growth and Operations Organization.
- Provide reviews/performance evaluations to the technicians.
- Assign work based on project priorities and availability of equipment, and ensure completion in a timely manner.
- Measure lab operation to ensure continuous improvement in quality, turnaround time, and throughput.
