The Work You Will Do:

The Employment Security Representative I will undertake all front desk reception duties for our main entrance. You will be the first contact for all visitors and will be responsible for the first impression our agency makes. This person will be responsible for maintaining traffic flow in an efficient and safe manner, assisting clients with intake-registration and directs them to the appropriate CSPBC staff and services.The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. A customer-oriented approach is essential.

You will assist with connecting business with talent by greeting clients, staff, vendors, and visitors as they enter the facility and ensure they are connected with appropriate staff to obtain services needed. Pay:

$40,000-$43,000 Annually


Your Specific Responsibilities:

  • Keep front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary materials
  • Greet and welcome guests
  • Answer questions and address complaints
  • Answer incoming calls and redirect them
  • Receive, sort mail, packages etc. and ensure they are distributed accordingly

The Front Desk Representative is the face of the company and ensures they make a good first impression on any visitors or customers. They ensure the front desk is kept in order and manage and filter all communication from outside vendors and customers to internal employees either by phone, email, or verbally.This is a professional position providing customer service and general information to the public.


Performs other related duties as required in a "seamless" service delivery system.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge/experience using Microsoft Office applications, incl. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective customer service
  • Knowledge and familiarity with staffing practices and EEO laws/regulations.
  • Working experience as a front desk receptionist in a fast paced environment.
  • Receive and provide mail to appropriate postal and delivery services.
  • Ensures visitors have appropriate ID and/or escort.
  • Conduct security backpack, briefcase, bag, and container searches as necessary and in accordance with CSPBC policies and procedures
  • Notify supervision of any accident/injury, safety, damage, or malfunctions to property, equipment, furnishings, etc., in the entrance area in a timely manner
  • Notify appropriate senior staff immediately if media, law enforcement or regulatory agency officials arrive on premises.
  • Ability to listen effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in individual and group settings, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to deal with the public in a tactful, courteous and effective manner
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to work independently by planning, organizing and coordinating work assignments.

Qualifications:

As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state and national law enforcement records.


The incumbent must possess or obtain certification as a Workforce Professional Tier1 within 6 months of employment in the position.
