POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assisting the physician and registered nurse in caring for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. The position is responsible for maintenance and disinfection of endoscopic and accessory equipment.

This position is responsible for assisting the physician and registered nurse in caring for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. The position is responsible for maintenance and disinfection of endoscopic and accessory equipment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients.
- Responsible for direct patient care given to his/her assigned patients.
- Responsible for informing a R.N. of any pertinent changes in the patients' condition.
- Responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for maintaining Endoscopy equipment and supplies.
- Responsible for managing assigned tasks, supplies, and equipment.
- Appropriately carries out assigned duties.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education/Skills/Experience:
High school diploma or GED- Minimum of one (1) year Endoscopy Tech/Surgical Tech experience required
B. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
- Endoscopy Technician Certification; must be obtained within one year of employment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
