Engage in studies and investigations into departmental engineering problems and make recommendations concerning solutions. Assume supervisory responsibilities as assigned. Direct and/or oversee the planning, budgeting, and coordination of activities relative to the engineering needs of the plant.

Provide recommendations for the repair and/or replacement of critical components to reduce plant EFOR, improve availability and maintain environmental compliance.

Facilitate and assist others in the conception of improved systems and equipment.

Conduct assigned engineering studies, tests, and inspections and make recommendations for additions or revisions to existing equipment for the betterment of the facility equipment and similar equipment within the Company.

Work on special projects as assigned.

Follow alterations of equipment to see that the work is completed in accordance with specifications and make recommendations on additions or revisions that should be incorporated in the design.

Maintain close contact with assigned work orders, improvement requisitions, proposed improvements, and/or changes in equipment, structure, etc.

Supervise employees assigned for special projects and assume the duties and authority of the other personnel, as assigned.

Investigate abnormal operating and/or equipment failures, as assigned and initiate reports of findings. This will require the use of reliability studies/analyses, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, or other resources.

Utilize Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance Techniques, Environmental Technologies, Predictive Maintenance Technologies, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems as necessary.

Contact representatives of equipment manufacturers and engineering services as directed.

Provide in-depth input into the annual budgeting process.

Support and implement various program initiatives.

Present technical and non-technical program information to a variety of audiences.

Investigate causes of complaint and assist when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor of science in engineering required. (Chemical Preferred)

Computer knowledge and programming skills desired

Knowledge/experience of electrical/electronic systems a plus

Knowledge/experience of plant instrumentation a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $6,250.00 - $10,321.00 per month
