Job Description

The Digital Products Department (part of NG Strategic Space Systems) in Manhattan Beach, CA is seeking a talented Engineer Digital 3/4 - Engineer. This person will be required to manage lab activities as well as provide digital engineering support.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced digital engineer who has worked within a lab environment supporting digital hardware development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lab Support

• Support lab maintenance to include computer set up, troubleshoot, migrations and backups.

• Support lab equipment maintenance such department equipment calibrations, ESD benches, wrist strap testers, and heel strap tester calibrations.

• Support Lab set up as well as users with requests for lab supplies, equipment, and lab space.

• Responsible for helping maintain lab cleanliness through requests for floor scrubbing, Smock Cleaning, etc.)

• Preparing and supporting lab inspections as needed to ensure adherence to lab safety regulations.

• Responsible for helping set up Lab Hardware for test in support of remote employees.

Engineering Support

• Unit level requirements development, management, and flow down, and coordination with system engineering.

• Generation of verification and test plans for digital board and units.

• Generation of verification artifacts necessary to sell off space hardware.

• Lead unit verification efforts, test-set requirements development, environmental testing definition.

• Support subsystem level Integration & test.

Basic Qualifications:

• Level 3: Bachelor’s Degree in STEM from an accredited institution and 5+ years of experience in an Engineering environment; OR, a minimum of 3+ years of experience with a STEM Master's degree; OR STEM PhD. Degree.

• Level 4: Bachelor’s Degree in STEM from an accredited institution and 9+ years of experience in an Engineering environment; OR, a minimum of 7+ years of experience with a STEM Master's degree; OR a minimum of 4+ years of experience with STEM PhD. Degree.

• Previous experience working in a lab environment.

• Hands-on lab experience working with electronic hardware.

• Candidate must be willing to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering.

• Experience with engineering support to include hardware troubleshooting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Master’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution.

Salary Range: $115,200 USD - $172,800 USD

Salary Range 2: $142,800 USD - $214,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
