Electrical Engineer

Qualifications
 Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience in a related field required.
 A minimum of 2+ years of related work experience is required. Preferred 5 years of experience in electrical engineering.
 Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
 Medical Device Design experience.
 Familiarity with analog and digital circuits, microprocessor hardware and software, and their development environment and tools.
 Knowledge of other programming/scripting languages is a plus.
 Oversight of PCB design/layout for manufacture.
 Design for manufacturability (DFM), Design for reliability (DFR), and Design of experiments (DOE).
 Outstanding visual design and organization skills.

Responsibilities
 Design new medical device products using various skills and techniques.
 Design microprocessor and micro-controller medical device applications.
 Provide expertise in the area of analog and digital electronic circuits including circuit design, prototype development, and component procurements. Design of experiments (DOE), EMI/EMC testing, design verification, and validation.
 Design medical device products for EMC, ESD, and electrical safety per IEC 606010-1.
 Lead the development of new electrical product requirements through consulting
with customers and sales personnel.
 Operate as a participant in a team of creative, independent and cross-functional
individuals.

TEST ENGINEER / ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer/Engineering
A technician with a focus on respiratory medical devices in a Research and Development environment. The candidate will work with other Technicians in cooperation with R & D Engineers to develop test methods and circuits from published standards, setup and perform the test, acquire data, and publish results.
This position is based in Northampton, PA. Candidate must reside within commuting distance to the corporate headquarters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Provide clear and detailed test reports.
 Maintain test records and test equipment.
 Organize laboratory environment utilized by other personnel.
 Develop and conduct comparison testing of competitive products.
 Maintain current and future product life test.
 Maintain a working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR; ISO 13485; UL & CE Marking.
 Research alternative test methods and equipment.
 Support manufacturing test and validation processes.
 Interface with the quality department to verify product specifications.
 Collect daily/weekly data of life test units

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Associate’s/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
 2+ years of technical experience in an engineering lab environment.
 Ability to develop and implement both pneumatic and electrical test circuits.
 Determining proper application of flow, pressure, and temperature measurement
devices.
 Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic components and circuits.
 Implementation of data acquisition equipment.
 Familiarity with medical devices and associated regulatory aspects.
 Proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically excel.
 CAD skills preferred, Solidworks or similar.
 Ability to interface across diverse workgroups.
 Attention to detail, commitment to excellence, and attention to detail.
 Excellent written and oral communication skills.
 Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
 Demonstrated ability to plan and organize assignments
 Must be able to work independently/self-motivated.
