POSITION SUMMARY:
Under supervision or direction, work with Engineering Teams to execute and document test plans and qualification protocols; perform routine engineering testing on consumables to evaluate new materials/components and processes. Measure, assemble, and test consumables components. This is a hands-on position involving detailed testing, data collection and analysis, and communicating results to engineering teams. In this position, overtime may be required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- High level of organization, communication skills, and documentation practices to ensure all in-process qualification and engineering testing data accuracy.
- High degree of efficiency in multi-tasking to support concurrent project priorities
- Hands-on lab to assemble and test injection molded plastics according to test protocols and test methods
- Measure critical-to-function dimensions and inspect development parts and assemblies using metrology systems and equipment
- Root cause failure analysis and hands-on troubleshooting of consumables parts
- Follow Standard Operation Procedures for all testing activities or engineering instructions
- Communicate effectively across organizational functions and frequently interact with the Consumables, Automation, Manufacturing Engineering Teams
- Assist Engineers with a broad range of parts development activities.
- All other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager
TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)
- Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education or Experience (in years):
- High School diploma with 1 -2 years of experience in medical device assembly OR
- AA/BS degree with no experience
- Excellence organizational skills and good record-keeping
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge with Microsoft Office applications
- Effectively work in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Hands-on, able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task and keep detailed documentation
Physical Requirements/Abilities:
- Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist motions.
- Frequent Travel between buildings
- Typical hands-on lab work
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up 35 lbs.
