Responsibilities
- Assist in the construction of air sparge and soil vapor extraction and/or other types of remediation systems including operating small to medium-sized heavy equipment to conduct trenching, installing piping, integrity testing, connecting pumps, flowmeters, sensors, installing concrete, etc.
- Learn and conduct operation and maintenance of operating remediation systems including collecting well data and air samples for the evaluation of the operating system.
- Troubleshoot remediation system or tripped sensor alarm problems.
- Perform pilot tests for remediation systems.
- Conduct groundwater, soil, and air sampling.
- Assist in preparing reports for remediation systems including tables, figures, laboratory analysis, etc.
- Communicate with project managers and engineers regarding remediation system efficiency, problems, and possible solutions.
- Learn the fieldwork required to install, operate, maintain remediations systems progressing towards running crews, designing systems, engineering advancement, and project management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Desire to learn construction and learn remediation engineering.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer and MS Office skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 60%-70%.
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
