AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Scientist/Geologist to be based in our Piscataway, NJ or Conshohocken, PA offices. This position will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line.

This position is expected to begin in December/January 2022-2023.

Job Overview:

The Entry-Level Environmental Scientist/Geologist will assist our Remediation team both in the field and in office, supporting soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects. The ideal candidate will be willing and able to learn new skills and methods on challenging field and office assignments in a collaborative team environment.

The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting environmental field work, including collecting soil, groundwater, and remediation system data, groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging and oversight of field surveys, drilling, well installation, development operations and utility clearance for intrusive operations.
• Field document preparation, field data collection, processing, and interpretation.
• Supporting office tasks, including data analysis and report preparation.
• Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance
• Travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Soil Science, Environmental Science or related field.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• HAZWOPER 40 Hr Training
• Master’s Degree is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• 0+ years of related work experience.
• Drilling oversight experience.

• Travel is required for this position.
• Candidates will be asked to submit to a Motor Vehicle Record screening, drug test, and medical surveillance screening upon hire.
