Our company is seeking an entry-level mechanical engineer to join our team in the aviation sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing mechanical systems and equipment for aircraft. This position requires a high degree of technical expertise and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

On a daily basis, you’ll carry out various engineering tasks, such as performing calculations on new designs, review and update existing products, and research next generation technologies. You will ensure our products meet FAA performance and safety standards and collaborate with colleagues to solve emerging issues.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Able to perform 3D design and create drawings within SolidWorks.
· Design, develop, assemble, and test mechanical parts and assemblies.
· Apply mathematical and engineering principles and methods to mechanical and system level designs and products.
· Design and execute testing to establish safety, reliability, performance, and operational parameters for components and final products.
· Conduct research in new and existing technologies and implement in new and existing designs or products.
· Design and develop mechanical systems (including avionics) for aircraft.
· Create and review technical specifications and requirements for products.
· Test and evaluate mechanical components and final products to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and software developers, to integrate final products into aircraft.
· Troubleshoot and resolve product issues during testing and production phases.
· Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to other teams as needed.
· Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and standards.

Qualifications and Skills:
· Associate degree or greater in Mechanical Engineering.
· Proficiency with SolidWorks and Windows Office
· A demonstrable working knowledge of mechanical concepts and principles, design for manufacturing, drawings, hands on fabrications such as machining, forming, and 3D printing.
· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, establish trust and credibility, and act with complete integrity.
· Team player who understands and demonstrates by example the importance of working well with others both internal and external to the organization.
· Detail-oriented, resourceful, and diligent.
· Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to balance and prioritize.
· Sound problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation:
· Annual Salary: Based on Experience
· Annual Performance Evaluation

Benefits:
All benefits begin after 90 day probationary period
· Medical Insurance. Employer pays 80% of employee’s coverage.
· Optional Supplemental Insurance to include Life, Disability etc.
· Retirement / 401(k); Eligible after 1 year of service.
· PTO: Three (3) days per calendar year.
· Vacation per years of service matrix; up to 40 hours available for carryover annually.
