Job Title: Entry Level Service Technician

Associate’s degree or equivalence military experience in Electrical, Power, Mechanical or related experience.

Company: Vycon designs, manufactures and markets clean energy storage systems using a high-strength aerospace grade steel flywheel to ensure power quality and continuity for mission critical operations at industrial, commercial and medical facilities. Integrated into UPS systems, Vycon flywheel systems provide an economic, long lasting, lightweight and environmentally sound back up power solution without hazardous chemicals. The Vycon energy storage system is also used in high cycling applications where energy that is normally wasted as heat is directed into the flywheel to be stored as kinetic energy and is stored for future conversion back into electrical energy.

Responsibilities:

• Installs, tests, and modifies equipment to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
• Responsible for meeting the service repair needs of the Vycon equipment and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.
• Extensive (approximately 50% ) domestic and international travel required.
• Reviews performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives and inspects malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem.
• Interact directly with Vycon Sales and Engineering Department to provide feedback on customer satisfaction as well as any new opportunities that may exist.
• Provides on-site and online technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Maintains records of performance reports.
• Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to ensure that the highest level of service delivery is provided to the customer.
• Delivers training on the safe operation of equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.
