RJ Gorman is an innovative, family owned, construction firm, specializing in Marine related construction activities ranging from residential, commercial, government and FDOT construction. Our headquarters are in Panama City, but we are looking to grow throughout the state of Florida. We are looking for a Equipment Operator. The Equipment Operator is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction site. Duties include using machinery to move building supplies, earth, and other heavy materials at construction sites. Prepare construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation. Must posses a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

· Attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety.

· Assisting in setting up and tearing down the equipment.

· Inspect, fuel, and oil equipment prior to beginning shift.

· Cut and shape structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.

· Loading and unloading materials and equipment.

· Work in conjunction with other crews and lead persons.

· Perform routine maintenance on equipment.

· Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.

· Wear provided PPE safety equipment and abide by customer safety protocols.

· Ability to interact professionally and communicate with employees with expectations and direction regarding schedules, construction methods, company policies and procedures, permits, safety, quality control and other performance standards.

Qualifications:

· Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving with an acceptable driving record

· Industry knowledge

· Detail-oriented and strong communication skills

· Must be comfortable working around cranes, barges, and other heavy equipment; working near water, in confined spaces and elevated heights.

· Must have reliable attendance.
