GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The position will manage all aspects of the data used by MCS to drive strategic and tactical decisions in line with the company’s goals, for example, if the data is collected from incongruous sources at varying times, it may not actually function as a good indicator for planning and decision-making. High-quality data is collected and analyzed using a strict set of guidelines that ensure consistency and accuracy. Performs research work in trends and tools for data quality, data cleansing, deduplication, and data enrichment. Will be tasked with maintaining and enforcing data quality standards and overall data management best practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs data audits to ensure quality data accuracy of clinical, claims, sales, operations information taking additional external research steps as needed (E.g.: formats, Mr. Ms., format date uniform, among others).
• Responds to data related support requests representing validation of records, cleansing and migration of merger information from legacy applications. Ensures that the data cleansing process has continuity for the systems.
• Monitors existing inbound / outbound integrations within the company applications and the corporate data warehouse to maintain the overall data integrity of the company.
• Builds automated data quality rules to identify duplicate data as well as cleanse inaccurate records.
• Works with departments, clients, and vendors to understand data requirements which support initiatives.
• Performs root cause analyses of issues and ensure remediation according to data management policies and standards.
• Must comply fully and consistently with all company policies and procedures, with local and federal laws as well as with the regulations applicable to our Industry, to maintain appropriate business and employment practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of prior experience in work data analysis, making quality reports, data profiling, root cause analysis and quality improvement techniques. Experience in the Health or related industry preferred.

Other: Proficiency with Microsoft Azure and Data Warehouse technologies, Knowledge of SQL, Data factor, sales analytics applications, Tableau or Power BI, data view preferred.
