Position OverviewThe Executive Director is responsible for all programs, projects and services provided by the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce (RRCC), as established by a volunteer governing Board of Directors. The Executive Director is accountable for the efficient operations of all organizational activities of the Chamber including but not limited to: program initiatives; membership recruitment, development and retention; training and supervision of staff, volunteers and program participants; financial responsibilities as directed by the Executive Committee; developing and providing a supportive working relationship between the RRCC and business, public policy/governmental organizations and other Chambers and organizations that seek to promote a sound business economy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of what a Chamber of Commerce is and the importance of working with a wide variety of people.

Qualifications Required

• Strong event planning experience
• Ability to work with differing opinions, build consensus, represent Chamber members individually

and collectively and have strong interpersonal skills

• Financial acumen, including working knowledge of QuickBooks and budgeting/planning
• At least five (5) years of community relations experience in a leadership role of a member-based organization preferred
• Self-starter with high level of initiative and creativity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• · Ability to support and enhance the RRCC website and social media presence using social media strategies such as videos and innovative member engagement

Job Type

• Full time. Some early morning, evening and weekend work required.
• Valid driver’s license required

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, finance, non-profit management, communication/leadership related field preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
