Kolb Farms is a small business in Cleveland, WI. We provide custom planting, baling, nutrient and herbicide applications to farms in the Cleveland area. Our clients are based in southern Manitowoc and northern Sheboygan county.

We are looking for an individual to operate farm equipment during the growing season from April through October. Potential candidates could expect to work 300 to 400 hours during this timeframe. Our equipment is well kept, clean and utilizes modern technology to give our customers the best service. Primary work would be assisting with planting and sidedressing corn. The majority of the seed we plant is in bulk and is loaded in planters with a seed tender so there is not alot of physical handling of seed bags. The ideal candidate would have experience operating farm machinery and have a general knowledge of crop production. We will train the right candidate though. Pay will be based on experience and work performance.

Specific duties of the position include:

• Operating 30' grain drills and corn planters
• Safely transporting equipment on the road from field to field
• Loading planters with seed and fertilizer
• Sidedressing corn with nitrogen using 30' applicator attached to tractor
• Loading and delivering seed and fertilizer to fields
• Abilty to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders to get on and off equipment
• Monitor equipment during operation to ensure correct operation
• Ability to recognize machinery problems and report them to supervisor

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
