Our Farm Accounting Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team! This is an in-office role located in Omaha, NE. Life as a Farm Accountant consists of daily and monthly processing of accounting transactions and statements as well as serving the needs of Farm Managers and Clients. The ideal candidate will have a very strong attention to detail, an understanding of basic accounting practices, as well as strong customer/communication skills, both written and oral. SUMMARY:
The Farm and Ranch Accountant will be responsible for the daily processing of accounting transactions and monthly processing of statements. As well as serve as the point of contact for farm managers and clients for all farm accounting related activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process daily income and bills for managed farms including farm manager contact related to ticket processing
- Government payment reconciliation
- Daily/monthly/annual report processing
- Client contact related to account management
- Special accounting projects
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position has no supervisor responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree in business, or related field
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Basic computer skills
- Proficient at 10-key
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Continually required to sit, talk/hear and utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read a computer monitor and use a keyboard
- Occasionally (5%) travel within specified region to attend company/industry functions as required
