Farmer's Market Retail Associate - Hershey, PA Job at S. Clyde Weaver
Retail positions available at our farmer's market in Hershey, PA. Some Fridays and every Saturday; 6-8 hour shifts. Employees receive free lunches, employee discounts, and the opportunity to work alongside some really awesome people.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner
- Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products
- Differentiate between products, helping customers compare and contrast flavors, textures, parings, etc.
- Answer all customer questions and address concerns
- Make helpful suggestions that will be useful to the customer
- Handle all transactions with accuracy
- Make every effort to ensure the customer has an excellent shopping experience
- Train/operate food service equipment (slicer, chipper, etc.)
- Additional sanitation and market support as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of retail experience desired
- Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
