Job Summary
Provide technical engineering support to project supervision and crafts to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, and specifications. Assist Project managers, Project Engineers, and Project Superintendents with overall construction management.
Job Description
- Review contracts and specifications in their entirety and ensure work is done in accordance with such.
- Review and maintain subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Assist the Project Manager, Project Superintendent, and Project Engineer as required.
- Assist with all schedule preparations and updates, including two-week look ahead schedules.
- Assist with quantity reporting, project costs, and forecasting.
- Requisition of equipment and material deliveries as required.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to resolve project challenges and conflicts
- Assist with monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing.
- Manage document control to include submittal schedules, contract documents, project record drawings, etc.
- Review employee and equipment timecards daily.
- Prepare and maintain technical submittal list, NPDES permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, Maintenance of Traffic reports, and Project Progress Schedule as required.
- Comply with notice requirements such as inspections, survey staking, joint quantity measurements with owner and/or engineer, utility locates, adjustments, testing, claims, etc.
- Issue correspondence to subcontractors and vendors when revised plans and/or specifications affect products or services.
- Perform additional assignments per the manager’s direction.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Construction Engineering and Management (CEM).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Highly motivated and dedicated to completing tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent verbal communication and technical writing proficiencies.
- Outstanding leadership characteristics and the ability to work with a diverse team from many different backgrounds.
- Attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve problems by analyzing information skillfully and developing alternative solutions.
