As Field Operations Program Manager, you will manage the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process (initial Business Case through General Availability) to drive Clinical Adoption and revenue generation.
What You will do:
  • Manage the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process (initial Business Case through General Availability) to drive Clinical Adoption and revenue generation.
  • Create cross-functional, Manufacturing NPI, and Field NPI processes, subprocesses, checklists, and phase gates that enable faster and smoother development cycles and improved clinical adoption of products.
  • Manage product launch ramp from Design Transfer Review (DTR) through Clinical Adoption.
  • Manage the planning, organizing, and project-management for program releases affecting the Global Operations (GOPS – Service, Installations, Manufacturing, Education) and Geo Services Organization.
  • Manage GOPS project teams and communicate cross-functionally with the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring current and up-to-date project plans and deliverables.
  • Ensure that Manufacturing NPI and Field NPI has the correct focus on coordination, prioritization, and performance monitoring for the GOPS and Geo Service Organizations to be prepared to support new products being introduced to the field.
  • Negotiate and assign resources required to gather or create documentation and services to support NPI activities for the GOPS and Geo Service Organizations.
  • Collaborate and influence other functions within the GOPS organization to develop and present a unified plan for the overall program release describing GOPS activities and deliverables in accordance with the PLM development and deployment model.
  • Collaborate with the NPI Portfolio Manager and Functional Managers in the GOPS organization designated to support new product releases to form cohesive project and program management teams and project plans.
  • Maintain and update local procedures, work instructions, and tools to support NPI activities with the other members of the GOPS Field NPI team to ensure accurate and timely documentation deliverables, to include general contributions to ongoing process improvements.
  • Evaluate existing and new processes using process mapping and other related techniques typical of business process analytics and recommend and drive process improvements.
What You will have:
  • BS/BA in Engineering/Business Management or related studies, including a specific formal component on Project Management.
  • 10+ years of experience in one or more areas (Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, etc.) of cross-functional capital equipment development, introduction, and servicing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in design and development processes with large, complex, capital equipment, and a focus on quality and Life Cycle Profitability.
  • Knowledge and experience to effectively collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-functional teamwork, to arrive at collaborated solutions and product requirements sets.
  • Demonstrated success in execution of complex, cross-disciplinary projects, involving NPI and technology transitions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience driving “Design for X” initiatives and profitability models.
  • Ability to evaluate competing requirements (Marketing, Manufacturing, Service) to motivate others in the support of multiple and concurrent new product releases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with SAP/ERP, ADLM systems, TFS, Windows and Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, and other software tools such as Microsoft Teams for remote collaboration are desirable.
  • Able to travel on a limited basis (<10%).
