Assist the Company’s Safety & Health Director in maintaining the Company’s successful and comprehensive programs related to safety, environmental, risk management, loss prevention and control.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Conduct safety inspecon and observaon document acvies accordingly.
  • Ensure sites of responsibilities comply with Federal, State, and Local Safety Standards.
  • Recognize potential hazards and risks by implementing daily, weekly, monthly walkthroughs/project inspections.
  • Facilitate safety training to field crew and evaluate the same including sub-contractors’ crews.
  • Develop and review site-specific safety related written SOPs and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Ensure H&S files (documentation) are maintained to include training records, equipment inspection logs, permits and procedures certifications
  • Be accessible and visible to the employee population by monitoring, evaluating and addressing employee safety concerns and issues.
  • Ensure compliance and monitor requirements with the Construction Safety Standard (29CFR.1926)
  • Coordinate site specific emergency planning programs. (Fire, Hurricane, Chemical Spills, etc.).

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish
  • Working Knowledge of the OSHA-510 Occupational Safety & Health for the Construction Standard.
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State and local ordinances, as well as other rules and regulations associated with construction, facility and employee safety and security.
  • Must have the ability to handle recurring situaons independently and in a calm, posive manner.
  • This posion requires having an ability to work with other employees, supervisors, and other employees of the Company.
  • Must have the ability to talk to others to convey informaon effecvely.
  • Must have a current driver’s license and the ability of meeng United States employment eligibility requirements.
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies at jobsites during off hours and weekends (incident investigations.
  • Must have and maintain and valid driver’s license and qualify for Company driver program.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to details.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

EDUCATION AND EXPIRIENCE:

  • Associates degree in related field prefer.
  • Prior related office experience preferred.
