Amarillo Gear Service, a division of Amarillo Gear company and fully owned subsidiary of Marmon Holdings, is the exclusive supplier of aftermarket parts and service for Amarillo Gear products and a leading service provider of gear reducers used in Power Generation, Pulp and Paper, Petrochemical, Material Handling and other industries nationwide. This position will be stationed at our Covington, LA., location.

Job Description:
Supervise field service personnel who perform on-site routine services including installation, maintenance, and repair. Oversees the scheduling and training of field service representatives. Handles directs support services. Develops methods, guidelines, and policies to facilitate efficient service delivery. Ensure all customer issues are satisfactorily resolved utilizing engineering, manufacturing, and other teams as needed.
Field Services Lead Position Duties:
- Supervise field service team(s) to provide optimum customer service.
- Provide workflow for the field service team.
- Coordinate with the shop lead for backflow availability when not in the field.
- Provide support and guidance to service staff to ensure timely and quality customer service.
- Develop programs to improve technical and customer service skills.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues and obtain customer feedbacks proactively.
- Identify and resolve employee concerns/complaints.
- Track and measure performance of field service team.
- Coordinate with production to provide best available lead times and expedite options.
- 80/20 all responsibilities and tasks. Able to discern priorities.
- Continuous safety training for all staff on and off site.
- Communicate with Purchasing Department to ensure material availability.
- Act as a liaison between customers and engineering on technical and warranty issues.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 5 + gearbox repair experience
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Able to build positive and effective customer relationships
- Willingness to travel to customer sites
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to bend, squat, lift, push, pull for extended periods of time
- Hands on Supervisor ( Willing to work side by side with FS Techs).
- Excellent Safety Record
- Must be willing to relocate.
- Daily completing of jobsite paperwork and reports.
