FIELD SUPPORT TRAINEE JOB ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to: Sales Department Manager

Objective:

The Field Support Trainee path is designed to gain fundamental understanding of the sales, parts, and service functions of Curtis Power Solutions, with active participation in each area. The candidate will be provided with monthly feedback on key performance areas and to further identify areas of interest to pursue as a full-time candidate. The role is designed as an interim offer to a full-time position while candidate has a limited schedule commitment or while finishing a formal degree program within 6 months.

Key Job Role Overview and Objectives:

• Gain a fundamental base knowledge of Curtis Power Solutions power generation products and services.
• Functional exposure to sales, service, and parts departments.
• Provide administrative and technical assistance supporting sales, service, and parts departments.
• Assistance with procuring documentation and technical data related to field project management
• Support the complete repair process including opening repair orders, coordinate with the shop, communicate repair cost & time estimates to customers, and repair order billing.
• Promptly address and resolve customer concerns and service follow-up issues.
• Provide excellent customer service interaction.
• Develop sales product training and participate in field site visits.

Technical Knowledge:

o Review and interpret project design documents and scope of work, enhance product knowledge of mtu Rolls-Royce and power equipment as necessary to fully understand total power solutions provided.

o Initiate, coordinate, procure and assemble technical submittal documents.

o Review OEM documents to understand repair plans and parts/component complexities.

o Review, develop, improve field repair scope of work for communication of field service procedures.

o Develop, modify, or procure technical drawings for onsite coordination of interconnects or conduit layouts.

o Learn and understand basic and advanced concepts of building electrical distribution systems and how to apply power generation equipment and related technical scope of work.

o Prepare activity reports to assist in capturing of data analytics and market trends.

o Effective communication with internal and external partners.

o Review schedule alignment to meet customer and project expectations.
