General Function:
Under the general direction of the CFO the Benefits & Finance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the coordination and implementation of the Finance & Benefits department at Partners In Prevention.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelors Degree + 2-3 years finance/benefits experience
Associates Degree + 6 years finance/benefits experience
Hybrid Work Schedule:
In office 3 days a week (Tuesdays are a must and the other days must be flexible every week) and remote the remaining 2 days a week. We do not have set work hours and are flexible on that.
Scope of work:
- Enroll employees in benefits and yield benefits related questions
- Terminate employees from benefits and work with bookkeeper to ensure proper COBRA coverage is offered as needed
- Ensure agency is in compliance with labor and wage laws
- Ensuring all benefits renewals and policy renewals are done in a timely fashion
- Working with benefits representatives to ensure proper coverage is in place
- Requesting certificate of insurance as needed
- Working with finance team to ensure percentage charts and grants align
- Working with supervisors in person on budget allocations and grant allocations
- Assisting with finance trainings as needed
- Collecting timesheets and checking for errors and providing report to CFO
- Ensuring staff are complying with finance deadlines
- Following up with staff and management to ensure that all are in compliance with finance related standards and procedures
- Being available to all staff and management for any benefit and finance related needs that may arise
- Budget forecasting
- Holding bi-monthly budget meetings with supervisors
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexible work schedule between the hours of 9am-4pm
- Detail oriented
- Benefits experience
- Finance Degree and experience
- Experience with Paychex preferred
