JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for all financial analysis, monitoring and forecasting of cash requirements for current and new business in the North American R&D Center. This involves ongoing analysis and planning of the overall program budget, profitability and cash flow requirements. The Finance Manager is responsible for developing the overall budget for the operations and evaluating capital spending requests and controlling capital spending activity, as well as ensuring that it is in compliance with approved spending (budget). This role will also handle the logistics for the center. Must be able to effectively interact across all levels of the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the monthly reporting and consolidation of capital spending for multiple plants. Preparing monthly reports to explain variances to budget and forecast. Communicate and present reports to Spain.
- Partner with business units to develop annual budgets to support the business initiatives.
- Conduct analysis and build financial models to inform business units on operating results in comparison to budgets.
- Manage the financial aspects of our expenses in order to provide a robust, detailed financial forecast.
- Review capital submissions from business units and ensure it ties to the ledger.
- Monitor and manager accounts payable and accounts receivable schedule and activities.
- Set-up, manage and follow logistics for items coming and going to the center.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with MBA completion with related experience.
- Three to five years of professional experience preferred.
- Results orientation with strong written and oral communications skills.
- Motivated, assertive personality, willingness to learn, seeks opportunities for improvement.

- Technical Skills: Possesses, acquires, and maintains the technical/professional expertise required to do the job effectively and to create client/customer solutions.
- Time Management: Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resources requirements; determines necessary sequence of activities needed to achieve goals while effectively managing time with limited supervision. Ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously.
- Adaptability: Adapts well to changes in assignments and priorities; adapts behavior or work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles; approaches change positively and adjusts behaviors accordingly.
- Collaboration: Builds constructive working relationships with clients/customers, other departments, organizations and others to meet mutual goals and objectives. Behaves professionally and supportively when working with individuals from a variety of ethnic, social and educational backgrounds.
- Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment.
- Experienced with financial modeling and advanced excel skills are required.
- Experience with SAP strongly desired.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time. Might require some overseas travel and work extended hours based on reporting demand and schedule.
- Knowledge of logistics.
- Knowledge with local tax requirements.
- Exposure and experience with Spanish desired but not mandatory.
