How will you make an impact?

We are looking for a Finance leader who will provide finance and business partnering leadership to the Global Business Services (GBS) team. They will lead a Finance team of 17+ members and be the primary business partner for the Senior VP GBS. This role will ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and timely and accurate financial reporting & forecasting. In addition, the position holder will provide valuable decision support, identify and implement operational improvements, and develop a strong finance team.

What Will You Do?

You will own all the financial operations for the GBS Function- which includes Global Procurement, Supply Chain, Shared Service Centers, Practical Process Improvement (PPI), Operations Project Management, Payroll, Real Estate, and Sustainability. Using finance shared services and global accounting teams to complete month-end close and forecast cycles, this role is responsible for providing reporting, analytics, and forward-looking financial performance insight. These functions report into Corporate through the standard reporting system suites & monthly and quarterly operational reviews.

You will provide business partnership to Sr. Leaders of Global Procurement, PPI, and Supply Chain. An important part of this support is providing business consolidations and analytics for direct/indirect sourcing savings and PPI savings. Partnering closely with the functional teams and businesses to assist in development of future sourcing and project pipelines is critical to help the team achieve targets.

As a member of the total company Operations Leadership Council (OLC), you will work to identify productivity opportunities within Scrap, Absorption, Freight and Duty, Warranty, as well as sponsor or deliver the analytics on root causes and recommendations to reduce productivity lost.

This position plays a key role within the Supply Chain function and respective business finance and operations teams in building division capabilities. We are looking for a collaborative finance team member to help define processes, standards, and improvement projects for targeted businesses. Having the intellectual curiosity to develop and provide ad-hoc support for projects to acquire data / insight on supply chain inefficiencies is an important requirement for this position.

Lead Shared Service Finance Operations with finance oversight of 3 shared service centers along with driving accountability for productivity, governance, operating metrics, and site audit/compliance. Lead business case development for new work entering a center and prepare and present approval documentation to Sr. Leadership. Lead long term strategic plan initiatives and models, AOP planning and allocation methodology.

We need someone who will champion the finance operations standard processes team and drive the adherence and communication of productivity guidelines. Develop a regular cadence with team members to drive and communicate standard processes and ensure a library of FAQ’s is consistently updated and available to team members.

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Advanced degrees and certifications preferred (MBA, CPA, Corp FP&A Certificate, etc.)

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of related experience in financial and operational analysis, business partnership, and financial leadership within a large, global organization
  • Proven history to operate in a highly sophisticated manufacturing environment and leverage relationships across matrixed teams to accomplish goals

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams developing strong relationships
  • Strong critical thinking skills with attention to detail without losing the greater picture
  • Experience in the areas of financial reporting, internal control, forecasting, data analytics, and accounting knowledge through professional and/or educational background
  • Demonstrates robust judgment, problem solving and decision making. Ability to apply critical and analytical thinking, use data, business sense and insight to develop effective solutions. Ability to manage sophisticated and ambiguous issues and communicate in simple terms
  • Strong business and industry knowledge as well as the ability to make logical assumptions, identify trends, incorporate external and internal information, draw conclusions from ambiguous data, and effectively benchmark results against appropriate baselines
